Most of Rita’s projects include performative actions displayed in the gallery through spatial interventions, artists’ books, and curatorial projects. She received her MFA from OCAD University. Her recent research consists of exploring the grammar of space and time through the use of geometrical shapes as a fundamental vocabulary combined with fragments of found objects with the concern of registering moments in a specific cultural temporal span. As an educator, her role consists of familiarizing students with contemporary art and design. She has received grants from the Ontario Arts Council and the Toronto Arts Council and exhibited her work in artist-run centres, festivals, andthe street.
